Mariposa x Bruiseby ~sketchthestars

Original character of mine based on myself. Her name is Mariposa; Bruise is the name she lived out her childhood under. Long story. xDD She doesn't always have wings, so if I draw her without them, it's not because I'm lazy. She gets them when she's older, and so does Indrid, her half-brother.

I had really high hopes for this one, but I dunno. It didn't come out so good, and I've been really sick lately, so maybe I can blame that.

Thanks! I dunno, the pose gets to me. The legs look all wierd. xD

The colors are what I love most about this character. I just don't know what to do with them though. I think she needs less blue. :/

Thanks! Yeah, I was going for the sad look. Her story isn't a very happy one. When I say she's based off of me, I only mean her personality and the people she's surrounded by; I happen to be a very happy teenager. xDD
